OFA Members,

I just landed back in San Diego after the OFA Mid-Year in Dallas!

President Jack Arnold and Aztec on the way home from MidYear

What a great reception and meeting!   We had 18 regular members show for the business meeting and a few more snuck in at the cocktail party.  Speaking of the cocktail party, we had excellent attendance with almost two dozen associate members including thirteen underwriters, a veritable baker’s dozen.  Then there were defense attorneys and a few brokers, all in all a super turnout of great people.
It was heartening to see such a good turn out from our members for this event so thank you to each of you who took the time out of your busy schedules to attend and show your support.
It is my intent to keep up this good positive momentum through this year and on to the annual meeting in Denver, Colorado.
A special thank you for everyone that helped set up the reception room and then clean up. Many thanks to Chris and Tuck for manning the bar so well, our volunteer door greeters specifically, David, Bob and Robert. And I cannot forget a big thank you to Bob Norris, Kevin and Chris Wyckoff for all of the help getting supplies needed to make this reception happen.
Also I would like to thank Cameron, Ralph and Eric Popper for driving, they made the people movement possible.  Special thanks of President Elect Chris Wyckoff for putting his driver’s license on the line for one of the vans.
Immediate Past President Bob Norris did a great job helping move from the La Quinta to the Holiday Inn.
But the most thanks have to go to our tireless Executive Secretary Hope DeLong for all the hard work she put in to make this event a tremendous success.
As a leftover from the business meeting, I look forward to solutions from Paula for the problems raised during the meeting.  I also remind, or if you never heard, we are conducting a Member Survey of all classes of members, so expect to hear from Eric Pearson or one of his crew.  Please help Eric help our organization!
In the interim if you have an information, suggestions or concerns please know my “ears” are open.
Hoping to see as many of you as possible at the Annual in Denver this fall.
See you in Denver!

Jack
