My name is Jack Arnold from Arnold & Arnold.

I’m the Director in Finance in charge of the billing and the collections. I’m a commercial single-engine, multi-engine instrument rated pilot. I believe that experience sets me apart from others in my field.

What does an ideal client or referral look like for you?

I think my ideal client would be first a person or company as a good person. Secondly, they’d be willing to listen to advice.

They don’t have to take our advice, but being able to be willing to listen, I think, for advice is a good trait. And third, to pay their bills timely. And in our best clients, these are the three traits that we see that make them great clients.

How did you first find out about the OFA?

My exposure started at an early age because my father, Hap Arnold, is a past president of the OFA, so I grew up from a very young age attending almost every meeting. There’s only a handful of meetings I miss, but I grew up with the OFA, is that early exposure.

Any favorite OFA stories?

The story that comes to mind is the boat fire story. This happened about 24 years ago in Vancouver, Canada. We were on a boat cruise when all of a sudden the boat stopped. I was nine years old then, and I remember having the life jacket put on, not being really frightened because I knew I was with a group of experienced investigators who would be able to get to the bottom of what was going on. Turned out to be a problem with the engine. We got to the back and everything worked out, but that experience has always stuck out for me.

Advice for someone considering OFA membership?

Look up at the directory and find an OFA member nearest you. We’re all pretty friendly and willing to mentor somebody that’s new to the field. So I think you can’t go wrong with picking the nearest OFA member, reaching out, and asking for help in entering this field. Because at the end of the day, we’re all a large family, and we’re willing to help each other out, which is what makes our organization unique, I think is what makes our organization unique, I think. is what makes our organization unique, I think.
